GreenSnap Inc. and Fumakilla Limited have jointly developed a web app called “AI Pest Diagnosis Expert Kadan-kun,” which allows users to upload photos to diagnose pests and diseases. It was released on April 17, 2024.

GreenSnap Inc., which operates the plant-focused social networking app “GreenSnap,” had identified user concerns such as “My plants have pests but I don’t know how to deal with them” and “My plants are sick, and although I’ve looked up remedies, I’m not sure if they’re correct.” To address these issues, they released the pest diagnosis service “AI Pest Diagnosis Expert Kadan-kun.” In developing this service, GreenSnap combined its users’ SNS post data with data held by Fumakilla Limited to create the learning data, and jointly developed an AI engine capable of identifying pests and diseases from images.
